To complete and submit the application of the
International Student's Exchange Program Puerta al Gran Caribe between UPRH and
The University of the West Indies-Cave Hill Campus,
Barbados.
An oral and written evaluation in the language
of instruction used in the host university.
Two letters of recommendation from
professors of the university of origin that could validate your
academic and personal potential to enroll academically
at the host university.
A computer written
essay (in Spanish or English) exposing your personal objectives
and the academic preferences by which you want to enroll in the
Program.
To pay the quote fee equivalent to a
special permit (not refundable) at the Collector's Office of the
home university. Hand in a copy of the receipt with the
completed application at the Exchange Office in the host
university.
The UPRH and The University of the West Indies-Cave Hill Campus,
will admit exchange students as visiting students and not as candidates
for obtaining any academic degree. Students participating in the Exchange
Program will enroll full-time at the host institution and will be
governed by the academic policies and regulations of that institution.
The recording of grades will be governed by the academic policy of the
host institution. Each institution will provide a separate
transcript with the grades and the credits for each exchange student.
It will be determined by each institution the number of credits that may
be transferred to the student's academic program.
The classes that the student enroll during
his/her participation on the Exchange Program, are recommended by
the Academic Advisor of his/her Department by means of an
authorization (Special Permit) given by the Registrar Office.
The credits and grades obtained
by the student during his
enrollment will become part of his/her academic record at the
home university.
